Store Stuff Limited Terms and Conditions
1. Payment Fees and Charges
Payment fees for all storage units must always be paid for monthly in advance, in accordance with charges for each sized storage unit. The first payment shall be the charge for the first 1 month period from and including the Start Date. Two forms of ID are required prior to move-in date giving proof of name and address. In the event of damage to a unit, Store Stuff Limited reserve the right to charge the customer for repair.
2. Default of Payment
If payment is not made by the due date, you will not be able to access your storage unit until payment has been made. This can be done either online or by telephone. If payment remains outstanding 14 days from the due date, we will assume entry to your unit and will sell the contents in order to recover any outstanding fees due.
You can terminate at any time via our website. Termination will mean no future payments will be taken and you have until the date paid to remove your goods from the unit.
Store Stuff Limited is not liable for any loss or damage to the goods stored.
When you hire one or more of our storage units you must indemnify against any claim or action or proceedings brought against us arising out of, or in connection with any dispute as to the ownership of the goods stored in the unit.
6. Ownership of Goods
You confirm that you are the owner of the items stored, or that the ownership is vested in you for the purpose of entering into this agreement. You confirm that the owner of the goods, if not you, understand and accepts Store Stuff Limited’s right ultimately to sell or dispose of goods to recover any outstanding charges.
The facility and all units will be accessible 7 days per week (Mon-Sun) from 6am to 11pm – premises must be vacated by 11pm. Customers must not allow anyone else to enter the facility with their entry details.
8. Rubbish / Litter
It is the responsibility of the customer to remove all cardboard/packing materials etc. from both the unit, the facility and the site – the area must be left clean and tidy.
9. Unit and Unit Use
Under no circumstances are you allowed to store anything for yourself or any other persons of an illegal nature. You cannot store cash or securities, waste, tyres, fireworks, toxic, polluted or contaminated goods, dangerous chemicals, firearms, explosives or munitions, radioactive materials, flammable or hazardous goods or any items emitting fumes, odour or smell. You also cannot store food or perishable goods, birds, fish, animals or any other living creature. The customer must not use or do anything in the storage unit which may become a nuisance or annoyance to any other customer or the management, employees or agents.
Store Stuff Limited have the right to, subject to fair notice, require contents to be relocated to another unit. In the event that this is necessary, Store Stuff Limited will carry out the move on the user's behalf if requested.
The customer must arrange their own insurance or take out insurance with Store Stuff Limited. Customers must provide evidence of insurance to Store Stuff Limited within 7 days of move in, otherwise they will be automatically placed onto our lowest cost option.
11. Suitability of Storage Unit
Under no circumstances do we guarantee that the unit is suitable for storage of your products. The customer acknowledges that any goods or items stored are entirely at the Hirer’s own risk.
It is the responsibility of the customer to inform Store Stuff of any change of email or postal address for correspondence, otherwise any correspondence sent to the address provided on your initial contract will be deemed to have been received by the Customer.
Any delay in exercising any of our rights under this agreement will not impair our rights or be a waiver of those rights, nor will any partial exercise of any rights preclude further exercise of that right. You may not assign any of your rights under this agreement or part with possession of the unit to any other person, firm or company. Every provision in these Terms and Conditions is severable and distinct from every other provision and if at any time one or more of such provisions is or becomes invalid, illegal or enforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected in any way.
This agreement shall not create a tenancy, lease or any other relationship of Landlord and Tenant between you and us, neither shall we for any other purpose whatsoever be treated as a warehouse keeper. Where the customer is two or more persons our obligations under this agreement shall be joint and several.
Whilst on our premises customers may be recorded by CCTV and the information kept on record.
Store Stuff Limited have the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time and these Terms and Conditions so altered shall apply to all storage agreements whether current at the time or entered into thereafter. In the case of current contracts prior notice in writing shall be given by letter to the customer not less than 30 days before the variation shall come into effect.
14. Locks and Keys
You will be the only person able to access your self storage unit, as long as payments remain up to date. You can access the facility and your unit by mobile phone, subject to following the directions provided to you when you become a customer. Your mobile phone must have bluetooth capability and must be on iOS or Android in order to download the necessary mobile application. In some cases where a mobile phone is not an option, a fob may be available. Customers should speak with Store Stuff about this option.
